Marconi Express announces that, for technical and safety reasons, on Tuesday 2 December from 5.40 a.m., the monorail service will be suspended to allow a vehicle to be relocated on the line. A replacement shuttle bus service will be activated at the same time, with the following departure points:
- at the airport on the ground floor at the arrivals exit;
- at Lazzaretto station in Via Terracini;
- at the central station in Via Carracci.
The journey takes approximately 25 minutes, with an intermediate stop at Lazzaretto station. The cost and method of purchasing tickets for the shuttle bus service are the same as for the monorail service.
The monorail service will resume operations as soon as the work is completed, which is expected to be within the day. It will run with two vehicles coupled together in a “shuttle” configuration, with a frequency of 15 minutes. This arrangement allows the number of passengers carried on each trip to be doubled, reducing the time taken to board and alight from the vehicles. The frequency specified in the operating regulations will be restored as soon as possible.
Should there be any changes to the schedule, updated information will be provided on the website and all Marconi Express channels.
